Sanchita Shetty, who recently featured in Pizza have been signed to play the lead role in Director Nalan's debut film, Soodhu Kavvum. She is going to be paired opposite Vijay Sethupathi and the film will again be producers by the makers of Pizza and Attakathi.
Sanchita says, "I play the role of a dream girl, someone who every boy vies for. I HAVE BEEN playing a village belle for some time now. But, this role goes to switch my onscreen image within the industry and i'm definitely looking ahead to that i am. happy to work with an enchanting team this time - Nalan is an award-winning short filmmaker, and Vijay has proved himself within the industry. I WILL BE ABLE TO start shooting for the film from next month."
The actress has already been a part of Thillalangadi, alongside Jayam Ravi and Tamannah; and Kollaikaran, with Vitharth. Seems like she's going to be another Kannada actress creating a serious entry into Kollywood, that's full of non-Tamil actresses these days.
