NEP Promotions feature scenes from the movie!

Neethaane En Ponvasantham was confirmed to release at the 14th of December. Even amidst the film's popularity and songs ranking well in chartbusters, the makers are focused on promoting the film much more and can be releasing one of the scenes from the movie prior to the discharge. This goes against the standard norm when sequences actually appear on TV channels and the web after launch day.

The crew, including director Gautham Menon, are hoping the film will relate to real-life incidences for the audience. "THERE ARE SUCH A LARGE AMOUNT OF moments of their life that individuals will relate to, on the way to not feature within the film. We would like people to look at these moments, get to grasp Varun and Nithya better before coming to look at their story on screen", says the Director.

Neethaane En Ponvasantham features Jiiva, Samantha doing lead roles in Tamil with Nani replacing the male lead within the Telugu version. The pair might be seen portraying their characters in school, college and as adults of their life. We just cant watch for this one!

Tamannah to team up with Ajith!

Actor Ajith, who's currently engaged on Vishnuvardhan's project has also put pen to deal for one more film with Director Shiva, who earlier came up with Siruthai. Though the project have been confirmed, the heroine of the film was still an unanswered question, but now, actress Tamannah have been confirmed to do the role.

Director Shiva, who's fondly called Siruthai Shiva by many spoke to us in regards to the project and revealed several interesting details about his plans. Apart form Tamannah, Santhanam can be playing the role of the comedian and can be supported by the likes of Jayaram, JP and Illavarasu. He also confirmed that Devi Sri Prasad can be scoring the music. Here's all the transcript from our conversation with the director.

"Now that the heroine is finalized, the producers Mrs.Bharathi Reddy and Mr.Venkataram reddy had gone various steps ahead in promoting this film as a tremendous family entertainer true to a twin of the corporate which had produced many block busters.

Young hero's like Vidaarth, Baala, Munish, Sohail play the characters in their life sharing the screen space with Ajith Kumar. Jayaram Sir and Santhanam will tickle your funny bones of their awesome combination, with JP and Ilavarasu playing the support roles the project promises a number of emotions too...each time I see Ajith Sir in regard to the script, his image on my mind grows rapidly and i'm sure my script will certainly enthrall Ajith sirs fans.

Am ably supported by my team - Cameraman Vetri and Art Director Prabhakar, remember the fact that I'M thrilled working with DSP (Devisri Prasad). I'D consider myself very lucky to mantle the role of the director for this project produced by Vijaya Productions at the centenary year of Sri Nagi Reddy. Though the shooting will commence only from March the song recording and other pre production processes will happen from 2nd December the concluding day of the centenary year".

Kadal track list out on the web

The track list from the album of Mani Ratnam and A.R.Rahman's next film,  Kadal,  was released to the web. The list includes six different songs including the track Nenjukkulley which was performed on the MTV Unplugged show which was telecasted some time back.

Kadal features Gautham Karthik and Tulasi Nair within the lead. The newcomers may be teaming up in a storyline according to the lives of fishermen. Consider the track record of Mani Ratnam and ARR,  we're certain to get some great numbers from this one. Meanwhile, the discharge date of Kadal is rumoured to be within the start of 2013.

The box office is witnessing a buzz today as two expected films, 'Neerparavai' and 'Naduvula Konjam Pakkathai Kanom', are hitting the screens.

'Neerparavai' directed by National award winning filmmaker Seenu Ramasamy is about within the backdrop of a fishing village. Vishnu, Sunaina, Nandita Das and Samuthirakani play pivotal roles.

'Naduvula Konjam Pakkathai Kanom' directed by newcomer Balaji Tharaneetharan has Vijay Sethupathi and Gayathri in lead roles. The film is a comedy caper.

Meanwhile, Vijay's Deepavali release 'Thupakki' continues to be running strong in theatres across Tamil Nadu.

Samantha opposite Dhanush?

First it was Amala Paul who was considered for the role. Then the plum offer gave the impression to have landed at the lap of Hansika Motwani. But now it sort of feels Samantha is emerging the front-runner.

We are talking in regards to the heroine of 'Sottavalakutty', the following film of Sargunam, which has Dhanush within the lead role. "FOR THE REASON THAT movie is getting delayed, Hansika was unable to allot the desired dates," sources said.

The film directed by Seenu Ramasamy and produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies attempts to turn the plight of Tamil Nadu fishermen, within the backdrop of an attractive love story.

Vishnu and Sunaina have played the lead roles, while director Samuthirakani and Nandhita Das have enacted crucial characters. Saranya Ponvannan may be there.

"We have made the film with none compromise," says  Udhayanidhi Stalin, who celebrated his birthday on Tuesday. Meanwhile, he's gearing as much as start his second heroic venture soon.

DSPs peppy number for Ajith

The forthcoming film of Ajith, to be directed by 'Siruthai' fame Siva, will formally get a kickstart on December 2, with the recording of a song.

"Devi Sri Prasad has composed a peppy number and it'll be recorded at a Chennai studio on December 2. It will likely be Ajith's introduction song," sources say.

To be produced by the reputed Vijaya Productions at the centenary year of its founder, late Nagi Reddy, the movie is touted as an action-commercial entertainer.

Anushka Shetty have been roped in because the heroine and this may occasionally be her first film with Ajith. The 'Thala', who's at the present shooting with Vishnuvardhan, will join the sets of this movie soon.

Sneha bets big on Haridas

'Haridas' will mark the comeback of Sneha on silver screen. "I'VE got an enchanting role on this film. And that i sincerely hope audience will like it," she says.

Directed by GNR Kumaravelan of 'Ninaithale Inikkum' and 'Yuvan Yuvathi' fame, 'Haridas' has Kishore and Sneha in lead roles. They play parents of a faculty going boy.

"I was very impressed with the script and my character the instant Kumaravelan narrated it to me. It's this sort of meaty role," adds Sneha.

On her married life with Prasanna, she says, "Life has become more beautiful. Marriage has made me responsible and i'm caring for my home. Prasanna is a fantastic husband."

Andreas director confirms IG report

A few days back IndiaGlitz carried a snippet that Andrea Jeremia would play a nude model in 'Endrendrum Punnagai', but there could be nothing vulgar concerning the scenes involving her.

Ahmed, who's directing the film, has now said that the actress can be "wearing a nude colour costume for a modelling scene' in 'Endrendrum Punnagai'.

He also added that this couldn't be regarded as going nude for the role and they're planning to get a U certificate for the film, from the Censor Board.

Starring Jiiva, Trisha, Vinay and Andrea in lead roles, 'Endrendrum Punnagai' is taking shape fast. Set in urban background, the film is touted as a rom-com.

Looks like this Pongal may be a large release date for Studio green as K.E.Gnanavel Raja's home is popping out with two films across the date. Alex Pandian, produced by Studio Green could be joined by a movie they're distributing in Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga. Reports have confirmed that the flicks will release at the 11th and 14th of January 2013 respectively.

Alex Pandian features Karthi and Anushka within the lead and is a mass entertainer directed by Suraaj. The film also has Santhaanam playing an important role and is predicted to be full of comical sequences and action. The film has music by Devi Sri Prasad and the audio launch is predicted to happen at the 12th of December.

Meanwhile Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga is directed by Pandiraj under his own production. The film may be an all-out comedy and has Sivakarthikeyan, Vimal, Bindhu Madhavi and Regina Cassandra playing the lead roles. The film will even have two item songs and was shot extensively in and around Trichy.

Looks just like the theatres could be stuffed with Studio Green's films in spite of everything this Pongal. However the team might see a surprise within the type of Vishwaroopam that's also being touted to release at the 11th of January.

Vidyut Jamwal from Bollywood crossed swords with Vijay in 'Thupakki'. Now for the Ilayathalapathi's forthcoming film with director Vijay, the baddie is being imported from Mollywood.

We are talking about Rajeev Pillai, who has bagged the meaty role on this yet untitled movie, way to his buddy Amala Paul.

"Rajeev Pillai and Amala are friends since their modellling days and it was the Mynaa actress who recommended Rajeev's name to director Vijay when he was searching for a right person to do the role," sources said.

The Vijay-Vijay film was formally launched recently. It is going to have music by G V Prakash Kumar and cinematography by Nirav Shah, the 2 inevitable members of director Vijay's team.

Mirchi Siva to catch Dubai flight

Mariyaan to add six tracks

Actor Dhanush is back in work after his shoulder injury and is busy finishing the shooting of Mariyaan. The film is being directed by Bharath Bala and has music by A.R.Rahman. The team is currently shooting in Nagercoil and they're within the final schedule.

"Mariyaan final schedule. It's great to come again to work after my spine injury. At the shores of Nagarcoil with my cameraman Marc" posted Dhanush on Twitter, in conjunction with the cameraman for the film Marc Koninckx from France. The film is alleged to have amazing songs composed by ARR and can have six tracks in total. The cinematography is alleged to be another highlight within the film. We will be able to expect the crew to come back out with the discharge soon next year now that the film is nearing completion.

Ramki joins Biriyani team, overflowing with stars

Venkat Prabhu seems to be inquisitive about adding more faces to the forged of his film Biriyani. Produced by Studio Green, Biriyani features Karthi and Hansika Motwani within the lead. It also has Premji Amaren doing crucial role. However, the director was busy getting more names at the list, and joining it now could be Ramki.

Previously, YouTube star Sam Anderson and Mandy Thakar have also been welcomed to the crew. Just as you wonder when it's coming to an end, the actual life pair of Sneha and Prasanna, Neetu Chandra and Vaibhav Reddy were also confirmed to do roles. Sources even suggest that there'll be another heroine within the film from Hollywood and feature made things much more exciting for the fans.

Apart from several great actors, Biriyani also happens to be Yuvan Shankar Raja's 100th film album. Things can't get a lot better if you find yourself creating a film within the Tamil industry. Venkat Prabhu seems to have the fitting formula set to make another blockbuster movie.

Anushka to shoot in 3D

The 3D technology is bound changing the way in which films are being made. With already handful of southern movies being made using this technology, the most recent to enroll in the list is 'Rudhramadevi'.

The period film starring Anushka within the lead role might be made in Stereoscopic 3D. At present, a test shoot is happening in Germany.

Director Gunasekhar, in association with cinematographers Ajay Vincent and Florine Meyer, is in Germany for the test shoot. He's being assisted by German technicians.

Illayaraja will compose music for this movie. Anushka, after 'Arundhathi', is doing an out and out heroine-centric movie and he or she is thrilled about it.

Mahat to add in a bilingual

Mahat Raghavendra, who made an entry into Kollywood in Venkat Prabhu's Mankatha is climbing up the ladder in K Town. The actor is busy engaged on two films currently, either one of which feature him within the lead. Considered one of them is a bilingual, to be made in both Telugu and Tamil. While the name of the Tamil version hasn't been confirmed yet, it's to be called Backbench Student in Telugu.

Piaa and Archana Kavi of Aravaan fame was roped in to play the feminine leads within the romantic film. Another fine addition is that Anirudh Ravichander have been roped in to compose the music. 'We could be announcing the Tamil title soon,' says an excited Mahat.

His other project might be with Director Adhiroopam and can begin it's schedule in January.

Santhanam named Comedy Superstar

Actor Santhanam have been named 'Comedy Superstar' by the Settai crew with whom he's currently working. The team was busy creating a remake of Hindi film Delhi Belly and Santhanam plays one of the vital lead roles within the movie together with Arya and Premji Amaren.

Santhanam have been at his best recently and is continually wanted by directors big and small for his or her films. His performances in films like SMS, Siruthai, Boss Engira Baskaran and several prominent films have made him one of the most top names within the industry. Now, the inside track comes from the Settai sets that he's going to soon showcase his name in his films' credits. The actor has gleefully accepted the title and has thanked everyone for arising with the idea.

Raghava Larencce to release an album for Rajinikanth

Actor, producer and dancer Raghava Larencce is planning on releasing a different album for Superstar Rajinikanth on his birthday. The album, as a way to have music by Vijay Antony and can feature tracks that revolve around Superstar with Raghava Larencce pitching in himself.

The dancer is understood to be a large fan of Superstar Rajinikanth and has openly expressed it over the years. He has constructed a temple in Chennai for Raghavendra, of whom the Superstar may be a devotee. Meanwhile, AVM Studios could be releasing their film Sivaji, directed by Shankar in 3D. The film have been reworked with lighting tricks over the past two year and can be releasing at the side of other films within the theatres.

Ajith to add in Hindi version of Mankatha

Director Venkat Prabhu, who last delivered a great hit film with Mankatha is calling to remake the film in Hindi. He has already started speaking with producers from the industry and is predicted to work on it soon. The interesting news is that Ajith will feature in it again, but not in his same role.

Ajith played the lead in Mankatha, of a rogue cop who was very ambitious. However, he'll this time play the role of Arjun, who was also part of the film. Previously, Ajith had appeared in Shah Rukh Khan's Asoka. He's going to soon be paired up with a number one face from Bollywood to work at the remake of Mankatha. Looks as if our Thala goes to grace audiences from the North as well.

Venkat Prabhu desires to work with Kamal Haasan

Director Venkat Prabhu who's currently hosting a show called 'Kollywood King' on TV has appealed to Kamal Haasan to work with him in a film. He went on record at the aired show stating that he would like to work with him and can get a hold of a narrative for the star.

Kollywood King showcases a specific star in each episode and has questions answered by the participants at the show. The incident happened when a fan asked Venkat Prabhu if he would do a film with a movie. The director quickly took up the chance to make an open attract Kamal Haasan. He said that he hoped that the 'Ulaga Nayagan' gets to peer his words and responds soon.

Studio Green bags Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga rights

Reports have confirmed that Studio Green have successfully bagged the distribution rights of Pandiraj's next film, Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga. The film has Sivakarthikeyan, Vimal, Bindhu Madhavi and Rezina Cassandra within the lead roles and is produced Escape Artists.

The group have previously acquired the rights of Kumki and Alex Pandian and in addition has Venkat Prabhu's Biriyani, Hari's Singam 2 and Rajesh's All in All Azhaguraja lined up next year. KBKR just adds one more valuable name to the list and is predicted to be interesting project. Pandiraj has promised that the film may be a comedy entertainer and can have two item songs in place of one. the cast, we're sure things may be very exciting through the release of the film.

After his hit number 'Google Google' in Thuppakki, Illayathalapathy Vijay could be singing a song again in his next film with Director A.L.Vijay. Dharan Kumar lines up 3 new films

Pizza remake rights sell big in Tollywood and Sandalwood

Things are looking good for Yuvan Shankar Raja as his recent albums are doing well with the audience. He has three films at the queue with the likes of Samar, Moondru Per Moondru Kadhal and Biriyani all lined up for release.

Biriyani could be marking Yuvan's 100th film as a composer and he'll be hosting a concert in Coimbatore in celebration of his success. Sooner than the concert, Yuvan has took part in a photograph shoot with popular cameraman Karthik Srinivasan. The shoot came about in Pondicherry recently and Yuvan was seen posing near an old church and at the shore with the waves hitting hard. A keyboard was brought in from Chennai for the shoot.

The photos may be used for the promotion of the concert and can be released shortly.

Neer Paravai to release on November 30th

Producer Udhayanidhi Stalin has confirmed that his film Neer Paravai can be hitting the screens at the 30th of November. The film was initially slated for a Diwali release alongside Thuppakki and Podaa Podi but was then pushed as a result of delays in post production.

Director Seenu Ramasamy recently spoke in regards to the film to the click and said: "It has certainly come good and everybody would really like it'. It's concerning the politics in mid-sea and the entire movie was shot in coastal areas. Cinematography by Balasubramaniam is a huge highlight".

The film has Vishnu and Sunaina within the lead and the songs by Rahunathan is already being liked by several listeners. The lyrics was penned by Vairamuthu.

Sathiyama Nee Enakku Thevayilla is the following Kolaveri!

Director Senthil, who's currently making the film 'Ethir Neechal' starring Sivakarthikeyan and Priya Anand confirmed that the film has a song called Sathiyama Nee Enakka Thevayila, that is set to be regarded as the following Kolaveri. The film has music by Anirudh and the song have been penned by Dhanush himself, like the original version.

Last year, the duo came up with Why This Kolaveri Di within the album 3 which went directly to become viral immediately and have become one in all India's most watched videos on YouTube. Senthil says that it took him around 40 minutes to convince Dhanush to provide Ethir Neechal, that is the actor's first production. Kadal audio launch on November 23rd, track list revealed

Information from A.R.Rahman's website has revealed that the soundtrack for his next film Kadal might be popping out next Friday, at the November 23rd. The web site also shows the track list including seven songs in total.

The news was confirmed by Madhan Karky who's apparently penning the lyrics for probably the most songs in Kadal. "Kadal Audio might be released on November 23rd with a grand event. Audio rights are with Gemini audio!!" he posted on Twitter.

After a sequence of experimental films and action entertainer, Osthe, STR strikes back with an easy romantic comedy directed by debutant Vignesh Sivan which also marks the debut of Sarathkumar's daughter, Varalaxmi. Podaa Podi was highly anticipated ever because it have announced, mainly because of its title and touted premise. So does Podaa Podi strikes the chord despite being made for 4 years?

Synopsis

Podaa Podi is a narrative set in London where two people, Arjun (STR) and Nisha (Varu) who has diverse perception about life fall in love and the way their differences carries forward as their relationship progresses from like to marriage.

Story & Screenplay

Surprisingly, Podaa Podi doesn't look dated at all, way to its ever relatable premise at the two opposite poles; Women and men. Vignesh Sivan scores along with his witty and relatable dialogues and situations. From the beginning to the end, the film is targeted well at the main characters and the director seems to have a transparent grasp on who he have intended the film to succeed in. However Podaa Podi can't be eliminated as film just for the youth but additionally has some practical examples for married couples who've repelling perception about life.

The film also has believable lead pair who often gets tangled because of their different cultural stands. The film which begins with a classy feel, but shifts slightly on the 2 nd half because the director injects his antiquated tackle Tamil culture. That does look quite confusing but doesn't affect the carefree tone of the film.

In overall, Podaa Podi stays excited by its main premise and results as a 'new age' Kushi.

Casting

A rom com will only get successful when there's an equally strong character and a skilled cast to hold it. Varu shines brilliantly with an outstanding debut by undertaking each scene with heart. Her original voice and fast diction, adds an apt flavour to her flamboyant character. Additionally it is shocking for her to peer her dancing capability matching that of STR's at many times.

Other casts corresponding to VTV Ganesh is an actual scream while Shobana's character unfortunately, looks lost. Premji and Santhanam even have done a blink and miss cameos on the intro song.

In overall, Podaa Podi has a well collaborated casting team led by the sparkling chemistry of STR and Varu.

Technical Aspects

Podaa Podi, as dance musical, demands much technical perfection and the film does lack in it. Dharan's music is peppy, fresh and experimental which serves the correct of energy needed for a dance themed film. His BGMs are done in some way which doesn't overpower the film but travels soothingly with the scenes. Podaa Podi should give Dharan a noisy entry to the league of giant music directors.

Duncan Teleford because the D.O.P captures London colourfully which elevates the sunshine hearted mood of the film further. On the subject of the songs, Duncan has experimented some ways to provide the audiences a candy floss feels which succeeds at many parts.
