The Sindhi girl from Lokhandwala in Andheri, Mumbai, after being the top paid actress in Tamil cinema had everything going her way in Tamil, but for some strange reasons decided to pay attention in Telugu. Tammanna has the fitting looks, is a mixture of glamour and girl-next-door, attitude, is acomplete professional, disciplined and mainly has an excellent success ratio.  In 2011 she had five releases two in Tamil and 3 in Telugu.

Among them, her Siruthai in Tamil is likely one of the biggest hits and in Telugu 100% love, Badrinath and Oosaravelli were biggie opposite top heroes which have been hits. And today, she is in Mumbai along with her family celebrating her birthday. The actress plans to go to a Ganesha temple and feature a bash within the evening with close friends.  Adds Tammu: “A hectic year but top-of-the-line. I'VE enough reasons to celebrate and i'm so happy”

And what's she gifting herself this year on her birthday?  “I am yet to shop for anything. Planning to head out later within the day and pick up something for myself. I'M quite serious about the evening bash at a spot near my house, where  some of my friends from the industry who're in Mumbai will join me”.

The Dirty Picture in Tamil – Telugu with Anushka?

'The Dirty Picture' by Milan Luthria threw light at the lifetime of Silk, played to perfection by Vidya Balan, an item girl who goes to her career's peak and falls down right to the ground and ends her life eventually. Vikram – Shankar come together?

Sasikumar has signed his next. The 'Subramanyapuram' and 'Nadodigal' hero, who was last seen playing the lead role in 'Porali', can be seen playing the protagonist in a movie titled 'Kuttipuli'.

The movie to be produced by S Muruganandam of Village Theatres (of 'Vaagai Sooda Vaa' fame) could be directed by Muthaiah, a former associate to T P Gajendran and Boopathi Pandian.

Besides wielding the megaphone, Muthaiah could also be the answerable for story, screenplay and dialogue departments. Cinematography could be by Mahesh Muthuswamy, music by Gibran and lyrics by Vairamuthu.

The film may have Srivilliputhur, probably the most important temple towns in Tamil Nadu, as its backdrop. Shooting will start in June. Sasikumar is alleged to be desperate to act on this film, as he's thoroughly happy with the script.

Thaman for Delhi Belly remake?

The Tamil remake of 'Delhi Belly' has joined that list of flicks that makes 'n' collection of headlines and creates buzz even before it's announced. The most recent doing the rounds about this flick is that Thaman will compose the tunes for this cult remake.

The tracks from the unique 'Delhi Belly', an Aamir Khan production, had tunes that rocketed the charts way to funny yet novice lyrics and peppy beats. The yet-to-be-titled venture in Tamil may be helmed by director Kannan. PG Muthiah is reportedly the cinematographer.

Anushkas case hearing pushed

A Court in Andhra Pradesh on Thursday postponed hearing in a case involving Anushka Shetty and others for purchasing a work of land from individuals with fake documents, to April 16.

Along with popular Tollywood director SS Rajamouli's wife Rama, Anushka and others had reportedly bought a work of land in Madhurawada in 2010, which allegedly belonged to an NRI. It's said that the acquisition was made through some middlemen, who had fake documents.

Following this, a case was filed by NRI Lingamurthy, whose property at Boyapalem in Madhurawada circle, Bhimlee, was allegedly sold by one Bullireddy to Anushka.

Anushka and five others bought land in survey number 358 in Madhurawada rural mandal allegedly with fake documents four years ago. The unique owner, who used to stick within the US, K Lingamurthy came earlier; Anushka and others obtained stay order from the High Court to take care of Bhimunipatnam court.

Court restricts 3 videos on net

The Madras High Court on Thursday restrained internet service providers (ISPs) and others from infringing at the producer's copyright by communicating, duplicating or downloading of Dhanush-starrer '3' in any manner without proper license.

Granting the interim injunction on a civil suit by R K Productions Private Limited, Justice KBK Vasuki ordered notice to the respondents and posted the applying for further hearing on April 18. The Judge also permitted the producer to publish the injunction order in Tamil and English newspapers to make the order known to all concerned.

Plaintiff R K Productions contended the movie was produced on the cheap of Rs 22 crore. The film, famous for 'Kolaveri Di' song, went directly to become a world sensation.

The telecommunication service providers, Internet service and cable TV providers haven't entered into any license agreement with the applicant on communication of the applicant's film.

The producer apprehended that as and when its film was released in theatres, acts of piracy would also commence. Such acts would cause serious loss to the applicant's business.

Suriya woos Kajal at Wai

A few days back a romantic melody featuring Suriya Sivakumar and Kajal Aggarwal was canned in here. The on screen chemistry between the duo is alleged to be one of the most highlights of the slick flick.

KV Anand had first shot on the Wai area for the 'Ballelakka...' track in Rajini's 'Sivaji' for which he worked as a cinematographer.

Earlier scenes and songs for several Bollywood flicks including 'Dabangg', 'Swadesh', Singham' and Ishqiya were canned here.

Shriya to play sex worker?

Shriya Saran was roped in for a meaty role in a Telugu film, through which she would play a commercial sex worker. "I liked the script and hence I'M doing it," said the 'Sivaji' and 'Azhagia Tamizh Magan' actress reportedly.

When probed, sources said that a top Tollywood director approached Shriya with the role, and narrated to her the entire script. "The actress was thoroughly impressed with it and was fully convinced that the film would bring her honours," they say.

Meanwhile, Charmee too have been roped in to play one such role in a single of her forthcoming movies. If sources are to be believed, the actress goes to do that character for director Chandu of 'Tenth Class' fame.

"This is a musical love story that deals with the connection between a sex worker, a singer and a writer. Charmee`s character is a meaty one," the director was quoted as saying.

Remember Anushka played a sex worker in 'Vedam' and its Tamil version 'Vaanam', setting a trend within the recent times.

Jiivas father denies row

Rumour mills in Kollywood are working overtime, suggesting that Jiiva and his father RB Choudhary don't seem to be in talking terms. "These days, Jiiva is communicating along with his dad only through his mother," they claim.

However, Choudhary, one of the vital leading producers in south India has denied this. "Jiiva won't ever fight with me. He always respects me so much. It's true that i'm unlikely to home for the past one month. But I'VE a real reason behind that," Choudhary told a Tamil weekly.

He added: "I'M undergoing Ayurvedic treatment and that i found office as a really perfect place for that than home. So I'M staying within the office itself. I SUPPOSE this can have paved way for this kind of rumour."

Meanwhile, Choudhary is gearing up for the audio launch of 'Ragalai', the Tamil dubbed version of his forthcoming Telugu venture 'Rachcha'. The music release function will happen on March 30. The movie which has Ram Charan Teja and Tamannah within the lead is made at the cheap of over Rs 40 crore.

The film is being canned within the nights in and around Triplicane in Chennai. Rumour mills in Kollywood are working overtime, suggesting that Jiiva and his father RB Choudhary don't seem to be in talking terms. "These days, Jiiva is communicating along with his dad only through his mother," they claim.

However, Choudhary, probably the most leading producers in south India has denied this. "Jiiva won't ever fight with me. He always respects me so much. It's true that i'm unlikely to home for the past one month. But I'VE a real explanation for that," Choudhary told a Tamil weekly.

He added: "I'M undergoing Ayurvedic treatment and that i found office as a really perfect place for that than home. So I'M staying within the office itself. I SUPPOSE this will likely have paved way for any such rumour."

Meanwhile, Choudhary is gearing up for the audio launch of 'Ragalai', the Tamil dubbed version of his forthcoming Telugu venture 'Rachcha'. The music release function will happen on March 30. The movie which has Ram Charan Teja and Tamannah within the lead is made at the cheap of over Rs 40 crore.

STR- Nayan in Love Anthem?

Nayantara is back to signing films after her much mentioned get a divorce with multi-faceted Prabhu Deva. The most recent is that there is a huge demand to bring back Nayantara and Simbu aka STR on screen!

The duo set the screens on fire with their on screen chemistry in 'Vallavan' following which they reportedly got together and parted ways. But they did not sign any film together post it although fans appeared to like their on screen chemistry.

Now that each one appears to be well between the duos, it's said that Nayantara could be seen in Simbu's international music album, 'Love Anthem For World Peace'! It is usually said that Vetrimaaran tried bringing them together for his 'Vada Chennai'.

Nayantara has signed a project with Gopichand in Tamil and has also managed to bag a couple of biggies in Telugu. She is touted to play Ajith's lady love in Vishnuvardhan's next, although there is not any official confirmation in this front.

Nanban screened for prisoners!

Ilayathalapathy Vijay's multi-starrer 'Nanban' that released as a Pongal treat was showcased for Salem Central Jail prisoners on Sunday (March 25). This was organized by the Tamil Nadu state government to supply healthy entertainment by featuring a high quality film for the prisoners.

It may be said that the TN government has plans of screening such quality entertainers in jails within the pipeline. It's said that prisoners thoroughly enjoyed the film as it is a Vijay starrer and a contemporary release that's still running in multiplexes and rural areas.

'Nanban' starring Vijay, Ileana, Jiiva and Srikanth is helmed by Shankar and is a loyal remake of Bollywood blockbuster '3 Idiots'. The film was acclaimed for retaining the essence from the original.

Demand to re-release Billa on May 1!

Joining the bandwagon of re-releases in Tamil cinema may well be Ajith's super hit 'Billa', a 2007 blockbuster. The rationale being, Thala Ajith's fans want the film to be screened on his birthday that falls on May 1.

The film's prequel, 'Billa 2' was slated for a release at the matinee idol's birthday but its seeing a tremendous delay because of the unexpected tussle between producers and workers that has delayed most Tamil films' release dates and the extended post production work of the film. The most recent is that the film might release within the fag end of May or at first of June.

The Thala fans are actually demanding a 'Billa' re-release to celebrate his birthday and sources within the know express that the makers also are toying with this concept because the film has much demand and may see an excellent run if released this season where audiences are desperate to watch their favourite heroes on big screen.

'Billa' featuring Ajith, Nayantara, Namitha, Prabhu and Rahman was helmed by Vishnuvardhan. The movie had music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and the tunes are still popular among music lovers and Ajith's fans.

Vindhya seeks divorce

Popular Tamil actress Vindhya and her husband Gopi alias Gopalakrishnan (younger brother of yesteryear heroine Bhanupriya) on Monday filed for divorce on grounds of mutual consent in a family court in Chennai.

Vindhya and Gopi, who entered wedlock in February 2008, sought to finish their conjugal relationship under Section 13(b) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, before T C S Raja Chockalingam, judge, principal family court.

The couple approached the court earlier separately. Now that they have got filed for divorce on mutual consent, it's expected that the case would come to an end soon. The petition is perhaps taken for hearing in an afternoon or two.

Vindhya made her acting debut in 'Sangamam' within the late 1990s. She was popular for films similar to 'Thirunelveli', 'Red' and 'Viswanathan Ramamoorthy'. Gopi had acted in a film titled 'Vaakkumoolam'.

Udhayanidhi: Were trying for an April 6 release

It was widely buzzed this morning that Udhayanidhi's acting debut in Tamil cinema, 'Oru Kal Oru Kannadi' will see a global release on April 13, as a part of Tamil New Years'.

When IndiaGlitz contacted the producer turned actor, he said, "Well, we're trying our level best to peer an April 6 release and work is on in an entire swing, but there are several criteria that determine it. We'll announce the discharge date shortly".

However, whether the film releases on April 6 or 13, it's certain to see a solo big release as there are not any other biggies scheduled for these two dates and Dhanush's '3', a romantic entertainer is seeing light of the day come March 30.

'Oru Kal Oru Kannadi' is an out and out laugh riot that brings together director Rajesh and his lucky mascot Santhanam for the third time. Udhay and Hansika play the lead roles and music is by Harris Jayaraj.

Khushboo admires Anushka

Khushboo has placed in record her admiration for Anushka, stating that the 'Singam' actress is a logo of dedication and straightforwardness. "IT'S rare to seek out an intensive professional like Anushka," says the yesteryear dream girl, who's now a hectic politician.

The friendship between Khushboo and Anushka dates back to many years, because the former was the producer of the latter's first film in Tamil, Madhavan starrer 'Rendu'. Kushboo's husband Sundar C was the director of the movie.

"We were shooting in an island for Rendu when the costume which was meant for Anushka didn't fit her. She was on no account bothered about it and gave us full co-operation by wearing dresses whatever were available in that small place," Khushboo says.

She adds: "In a song sequence, she needed to hide her whole body throughout the sand. She patiently acted for lots of hours without even a small complaint. She would take each and everything positive and it is a very rare quality."

Why Bala opted for Paradesi?

Confirming that he has named his next film, which has Atharva, Vedhika and Pooja in lead roles, as 'Paradesi', National Award winning director Bala has pop out with a proof as to why he opted for the title.

"The protagonist of this story, irked with the happenings around him, decides to move Paradesam. So I'VE named the film Paradesi. I felt this title would suit the script well than anything else," he says.

On why he chose Pooja, his 'Naan Kadavul' heroine again, Bala explains, "She took immense pains to play a visually challenged girl in Naan Kadavul. But she didn't get the due recognition. So I picked her for Paradesi to let her hog the limelight."

About a well-liked allegation against him, that he would 'harass' actors and actresses at the sets, Bala says, "IT'S NOT harassment. It's professionalism. I expect nothing however the best from my team members. And it's for his or her good only."

Indias first comedy 3D film?

'Ace Raja Rani Jackie & Joker' went on floors yesterday and if sources are to be believed this movie joins the 3D bandwagon! A bilingual in Tamil - Telugu the film is touted to be India's first ever stereoscopic comedy 3D flick!

AK Entertainments, a number one production house in Andhra Pradesh enters Tamil cinema with this flick that stars Shaam, Vaibhav, Allari Naresh, Raju Sundaram, Sneha Ullal, Neelam and Kamna Jethmalani within the lead roles. Anil Sunkara is wielding the megaphone. Music is reportedly by Bappi Lahiri.

The film was recently launched and the puja was graced by Governor Rosiah and Simbu aka STR who was the executive Guest. Also present were director Venkat Prabhu, Srikanth, Mahat and a number of other others.

Love marriage: Trishas mom gives a nod

MUK again! With a distinct screenplay

The makers of MUK are toying with the speculation of a brand new version of the film for you to have a unique screenplay. It'll first release in Telugu followed by a re-release in Tamil.

Says director Elred Kumar, "We're engaged on the Telugu version 'Nirantharam Nee Oohale', this may increasingly have a special screenplay. Since we needed tax benefits we made several cuts in Tamil and went ahead with a U certificate. Our Telugu version do not need these cuts and can most likely receive an A from the censor board reason for it, it is not censored yet".

Buzz is that the brand new screenplay may have more prominence to Atharva's mother's character, played by Anupama Kumar.

 "This Telugu version could be more intense and there'll be changes within the climax as well, post the Telugu release the film will re-release in Tamil within the same version because it will in Telugu", he adds.

The Sarathkumars off to London

IG had earlier reported that Sarathkumar will join the Superstar shortly in London for the shoot of 'Kochadaiyaan'. Sarathkumar may be leaving to London today to enroll in those within the sets of 'Kochadaiyaan', it's said that he's going with his wife Radhika Sarathkumar and son Rahul to London.

Rajinikanth had left to London on March 17 with his daughter Soundarya Ashwin who's helming this 3D biggie and KS Ravikumar. A 20-day shoot was scheduled in which 40% of talkies and a song can be wrapped.

Before leaving Rajini spoke to the media gathered within the airport and expressed that the team is aiming at releasing 'Kochadaiyaan' for Diwali.

The film stars an ensemble of tinsel town celebs including Nassar, Jackie Shroff, Lakshmi Manchu and rumor mills are abuzz that late ace comedian Nagesh might be brought back digitally on this film.

Aaranya Kaandam sees a re-release!

'Aaranya Kaandam' that won two prestigious National Awards is seeing a re-release in USA this weekend, March 23! It can be mentioned the film also won the Grand Jury award in South Asian International Film Festival in NY.

David: Vikrams fastest film?

While the shoot of several Tamil films has invariably come to a halt way to a tussle between film producers and workers, Chiyaan Vikram seems to have utilized the time well to wrap his Bollywood project that's now probably the most fastest films by him.

The shoot of the film is sort of wrapped apart from a couple of scenes!

'David' is a gangster flick with dark humour and sees Vikram as David as a fisherman in Goa. Scenes has been canned in Goa, Mumbai and London. The film is shot using a red epic camera, the most recent fad that has caught the highest most actors within the film industry.

Its a 50 for Marina!

Pandiraj's latest offering 'Marina' is successful affair and has successfully finished 50 days within the box-office today (March 22). The film remains to be running strong in leading city multiplexes and rural centers.

'Marina' is directed and produced by National Award winning Pandiraj and stars Sivakarthikeyan, Oviya and a variety of children within the lead roles. Although boasting off a powerful message the film doesn't get preachy at any point.

Recently several rumors were sparked off about Pandiraj's next project and media houses reported that he's doing a movie with Chiyaan Vikram and one with Sivakarthikeyan and Vimal. Saguni sees villain change – Pushed to May / June?

Karthi's political satire 'Saguni' that was initially slated for a Tamil New Years release will now, if sources are to be believed, see light of the day towards the fag end of May or early June.

This is because some of the scenes of 'Saguni' are being shot again! Buzz is that the producers watched the double positive of 'Saguni' and weren't satisfied with the scenes featuring the baddie, Salim Ghouse!

The film has a couple of villains and Salim Ghouse plays the principle antagonist and apparently there are scenes featuring him and Karthi that are not on top of things and the producers desire a re-shoot.

He is now replaced by South Indian cinema's favorite villain, Prakash Raj who's reportedly paid an enormous amount for allotting a ten-day schedule for the film.

This movie by Dream Warriors is directed by debutant Shankar Dayal and is a high voltage action entertainer with Praneetha because the female lead. Scenes featuring Karthi and Santhanam are probably the most major highlights of the film.

Tamannahs next to release in May?

Of late, Tamannah has repeatedly refuted rumours about her bidding an adieu to Tamil cinema. Perhaps, her Tamil film with Ram may be a solution to this for its prepared to grace the screens come May as per reports.

The film is a bilingual featuring Ram and Tamannah within the lead roles and is titled 'Yen Endraal Kadhal Enben' in Tamil. The project is helmed by Karunakaran. It's taking shape in a quick pace and the last schedule is currently on in some scenic locales of Vishakapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. A BUNCH featuring the duo is being shot and the team has some scenes to be canned there till March 27.

'Yen Endraal Kadhal Enben' is an out and out romantic film with Radhika Apte in a pivotal role. The makers are planning to have some innovative promotional marketing strategies for you to be followed by an audio launch. Music consists by GV Prakash Kumar.

Simbu to croon for Siddharth?

It's now not news that Siddharth - Shruti Haasan - Hansika Motwani starrer Telugu flick 'Oh My Friend' is getting dubbed in Tamil and is releasing as 'Sridhar'. The newest is that Siddharth has put his foot down and refused to dub for the movie!

The actor wrote on his microblogging page, "Guys there is no way I AM GOING back to a dubbing theatre to dub a brand new language version of any of my older films. No way! Not not. ever".

The makers at the moment are left without a option instead of finding a brand new voice for his or her hero.

There's a track, 'Sri Chaitanya...' on this film that's crooned by the lead, Siddharth and Shruti Haasan. Multi-faceted Silambarasan aka STR have been reportedly approached to sing this song within the Tamil version!

The actor is yet to offer his nod for the number that's composed by late Anil R. Other songs are composed by Rahulraj.

Bala chooses Paradesi for Atharva

Stories throwing light on dark realities of life have always been a favourite of Bala. The National Award winning filmmaker, who earlier titled his next venture as 'Eriyum Thanal', has opted for a metamorphosis now it seems.

If sources are to be believed, the film starring Atharva and Vedhika within the lead roles have been rechristened as 'Paradesi'. "Bala felt the brand new title would suit the script well in comparison to the old one," sources say.

The film, set within the backdrop of southern Tamil Nadu, is taking shape fast. Ace writer Jeyamohan, who earlier worked with Bala in 'Naan Kadavul', is claimed to be helping the director in 'Paradesi' also.

Recently, there has been a buzz that Bala has picked his 'Naan Kadavul' colleague Pooja to play a very important role in 'Paradesi'. But there's no official announcement about this thus far. There is not any official word concerning the 'name change' as well.

Vikram Prabhu, Karthika & Piaa come together?

Kollywood grapevine is abuzz that ace Prabhu's son Vikram Prabhu and the 'Ko' girls, Karthika and Piaa Bajpai will coming together for a flick! The movie is touted to be produced by Ilayathalapathy Vijay's home banner Ghilli Films.

The movie is a remake of Captain Vijaykanth's 'Sattam Oru Iruttarai', a 1981 super hit. Incidentally, the unique was directed by Vijay's father, SA Chandrasekhar. This remake can be helmed by Ramesh. Meena have been approached to don a pivotal role within the film.

'Kumki' will mark the foray of Vikram Prabhu in Tamil cinema as an actor and the film by Prabhu Solomon will see a summer release. Meanwhile Karthika who received much critical popularity of her performance in 'Ko' is busy together with her Telugu project 'Dammu' with Junior NTR and Trisha and 'Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum'. Piaa Bajpai however is operating on a promising Malayalam flick, 'Masters'.

An official announcement from Vijay's Ghilli Films listing the opposite cast and crew is predicted shortly.

No big releases for Tamil New Year!

There are not any big releases for Tamil New Years (April 13) this year. Not that massive films traditionally release every Tamil New Year however the TFPC had announced five important dates which it later revised to 8 days of a year when big projects will see light of the day, including Tamil New Years. This move was to encourage small films.

Following this decision three big projects, '3', 'Billa 2' and 'Saguni' were eyeing on an April 13 release.

'3' is now releasing on March 30 in Tamil - Telugu versions. The team is running from pillar to post for the promotional activities of the film that has already generated much buzz way to the stupendous success of 'Kolaveri'.

Meanwhile 'Saguni' is seeing a re-shoot because the makers weren't very impressed with the scenes featuring the principle villain and feature now roped in Prakash Raj and are shooting some of the scenes again! The film is reportedly aiming for a May end or June beginning release.

Thala Ajith's 'Billa 2' was initially announced as a Tamil New Year release in addition after which it was said that it'll grace screens for Ajith's birthday that falls on May 1. The newest is the movie will, like 'Saguni', see a release towards the fag end of May or the start of June because the makers reportedly have planned extensive post-production work and promotional activities.

Udhayanidhi Stalin's maiden acting venture 'Oru Kal Oru Kannadi' featuring him alongside Hansika Motwani is touted to release come April 6, however there is no official confirmation in this front.

One of the main reasons for these drastic changes in release dates is the unofficial strike between FEFSI and the producers that has invariably brought the shoot of several Tamil films to a halt and has affected release dates by weeks and months!

AP govts honour to AVM

The Andhra Pradesh government will honour AVM Saravanan, who runs the AVM Studios, one of the most respected production houses within the country, with the coveted Nagireddy - Chakrapani National Film Award.

Also, veteran actress Saradha, who has acted in numerous Tamil and Telugu films, have been selected for the acclaimed NTR National Award for the year 2010.

According to reports from Andhra Pradesh, the awards could be presented by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on 23 March (Ugadi day) at a vibrant function in Hyderabad.

The Raghupati Venkaiah Award was announced for veteran actor, producer and director M Balaiah. Yedida Nageswara Rao, who produced award-winning movies like 'Sankarabharanam' would receive the Special Jury award.

Kazhugu flies high, literally!

Slow but steady wins the race. 'Kazhugu' is strictly doing that. The Krishna-starrer which hit the screens Friday last is climbing at the box-office ladder to be declared as successful venture.

Earlier, 17 theatres were screening the movie in Chennai. The number is now 25. Also, multiplexes that have been showing the film in small screens have now promoted it to the large or highest capacity screen!

At cinema halls in and around Madurai, audience has been soliciting for 'once more' for 'Ambalaikkum Pombalaikkum...' song, say sources. "Movie-buffs are thoroughly enjoying the film and they're touched by Kazhugu," they add.

Yuvan Shankar Raja is definitely a crowd puller for the film and the music composer has not disappointed the viewers. His songs and background score was acting as a bridge in transporting director Satya Siva's gripping script to the minds and hearts of the audience, with the intention to say.

Band Baaja Baaraat to look multiple remakes!

While its become a fad within the industry for Tamil films to be remade in Hindi, a couple of from the north see remakes in here in addition. Recently Salman Khan starrer 'Dabangg' was remade as 'Osthi' with Simbu.

Now the newest buzz is that B-town's premium production banner Yash Raj Films goes to remake its most loved film 'Band Baaja Baaraat' into south languages.

The film that raked in moolah in 2010, stars Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma. The film was well acclaimed and its fresh, lead pair had become favourites among youngsters. In step with sources, YRF is very keen to remake the film but as of now has not sealed any plans.

If sources are to be believed, BBB's remake - Tamil, Telugu and Kannada - will soon go on floors and the project may have new faces within the languages!

Although there are several south filmmakers who're lined up for the film's remake, YRF has not confirmed about selling its rights to anyone.

Not only BBB, the banner could also be considering remaking its other popular films 'Bunty Aur Babli' (Abhishek Bachchan-Rani Mukherji) and 'Dil To Pagal Hai' (Shahrukh Khan - Madhuri Dixit - Karisma Kapoor) in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.

Sarathkumars Traffic – Latest tidbits

It is not any longer news that Malayalam blockbuster 'Traffic' that garnered the eye of 1 and all including the Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan himself, could be remade in Tamil with Sarathkumar within the lead.

Industry insiders have it that the unique film's director Rajesh Pillai who was touted to helm the Tamil remake in addition has walked out of it citing date issues! Now, Shaheed Kader who's the former's assistant can be wielding the megaphone of 'Traffic'.

The film was prepared to move on floors long back but way to a contemporary unofficial tussle between the producers' council and workers the shoot of varied Tamil films were indefinitely delayed.

Now Rajesh must pay attention to the Hindi version of the film and has opted out of the Tamil one.

'Traffic's Tamil version could be co-produced by Radhika Sarathkumar and Listin Stephen and stars Sarathkumar as a cop with an ensemble of others including Prasanna, Prakash Raj, Nassar and Radhika Sarathkumar.

After the excitement that Jiiva's magnum opus 'Mugamoodi' created with its fish market shoots the film is now progressing at a rapid pace. The crew continues to shoot within the heart of Chennai and Jiiva is sporting a superhero search for the first actual time.

The crew is currently caning the superhero portions of the film, shooting in various parts of the town. Dhananjayan from UTV says, "Shooting is under brisk progress after the strike ended. Currently, Jiiva's superhero costume scenes are being shot through the night".

The film boasts off some high voltage action scenes which can be the highlights within the movie that's also loaded with other commercial elements.

Livingston in a 3D flick!

3D films became the fashion of the day. Joining this bandwagon is Livingston who was last seen in 'Yuvan' last year. Livingston who usually plays supporting roles might be seen because the protagonist in 'Adhisaya Ulagam 3D' helmed by Shakti.

The fantasy flick stars Livingston, Ananda Kannan and Latha Rao in conjunction with a bunch of youngsters within the lead.  Livingston plays a scientist who discovers a time machine that tots use to return to the dinosaur age. How and whether Livingston brings them back to the present world forms the remainder of the plot.

Despite wielding the megaphone for the film, Shakti has also composed the music and is taking good care of the screenplay, editing and graphics! Quite a rarity, we must say. 'Ambuli 3D' fame Sathish is handling the cinematography.

'Adhisaya Ulagam' has a running time of 90 minutes. The film is aiming for a summer release.

Arya clears air on his remuneration hike

Ever for the reason that success of 'Vettai' rumour mills are working overtime that Arya aka Jammy has hiked his salary and is demanding a whooping sum from producers for his films. But the actor while in a talk with a media house denies such a happenings.

It was further reported that UTV Films that's bringing to Tamil cinema the remake version of 'Delhi Belly' approached Arya and the latter charged a whooping sum of 6 crore rupees. Kannan of 'Kanden Kadhalai' fame might be helming the project.

"Its true that UTV approached me for the lead and Santhanam for a job with me however the topic of remuneration hasn't even arise up to now! I USED TO BE only particular that the film must have rich production values, so me demanding 6 crore rupees is a baseless rumour! Kannan remains to be engaged on the script and me occurring board or not could be decided once he completes penning the script", clarifies Arya.

The film was criticized big time for its language, however, it's said that the Tamil version can have the core content retained and can be loaded with comedy but more native with numerous changes.

Puthiya Thiruppangal – Latest tidbits

'Puthiya Thiruppangal' that stars Nandha and Andrea Jeremiah within the lead roles is directed by Saradha Ramanathan whose 'Sringaram' won three National Awards. She recently met the clicking and spoke extensively concerning the film.

Maatraan out beats Rajinis Kochadaiyaan!

Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kochadaiyaan' is not any longer the primary Indian film to make use of Performance Capture Technology! Suriya's 'Maatraan' could be using this method that's called as PCT.

Kochadaiyaan in Japanese

IG had reported a couple of backs back that 'Kochadaiyaan', Superstar Rajinikanth's next venture, might be made in English also, in conjunction with Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions, as plans are directly to release the movie everywhere in the world.

Now the excitement is that the multi-crore extravaganza may have a Japanese version too, because the 'Thalaivar' has a large fan following in there. "IT WILL LIKELY BE a real global venture in all aspects," sources say.

Shooting for the movie is anticipated to start out in London later this month. Recently, K S Ravikumar, who's helping Soundarya R Ashwin in directing the flick, offered prayers on the temples of Tiruttani and Tirupati for the project's success.

Deepika Padukone have been roped in to play the heroine, with Sarath Kumar, Aadhi, Rukmini, Nasser and Shobana doing other crucial roles. Music is by A R Rahman. This may occasionally be the primary film in India to be made on 3D using performance capturing technology.
