There are not any big releases way to the unofficial tussle between producers and workers most films have come to a halt and release dates especially that of biggies have seen drastic changes and feature been pushed by weeks and months together!
There are small releases today that come with the re-release of 'Vegayam' that's seeing light of the day as 'Gayam'. Aside from which are 'Kadhal Pisase', 'Aayiram Muthangaludan Thenmozhi' and 'Kandha'.
Kadhal Pisase
'Kadhal Pisase' is helmed by Aravind who's also the protagonist of the project; he woos Midhuna and Anitha Reddy within the film while comic relief is by Santhanam who's currently ruling the roost in Tamil cinema. Music is by Brunathan. The film throws light on Aravind who desires to study hard and settle in an even career but because of many twists and turns he's forced to bring out the violent side in him.
Aayiram Muthangaludan Thenmozhi
'Aayiram Muthangaludan Thenmozhi' is by debutant Shanmugharaj and stars Venkatesh and Akshara. The movie made headlines because the director conducted a workshop for all of the cast before the film went on floors. Not only that, the team shot a tribulation run, edited it and re-shot the edited version! Additionally they met Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan recently, showcased the trailers and songs and sought his blessings.
Kandha
Kandha by Babu Vishwanath stars Karan and Mithra within the lead roles. Karan may be seen as a NRI and the movie throws light on land grabbing issues. Bose plays an impressive antagonist and music is by Sakthi R Selva. The film is claimed to have an even dosage of action sequences.
Gayam
This film is seeing a re-release today. It was earlier released as 'Vengayam' mid last year. Directed by Sankagiri Rajkumar the film takes a dig on superstitions. Sathyaraj plays a guest role and the movie received much acclaim from firstclass tinsel town celebrities who've graded it as the most effective films in Tamil cinema, way to the novice script!
