Late ace film star and the matinee idol of millions, Sivaji Ganesan's epic project 'Karnan' that released long ago in 1964 is releasing again in digitized format. The film can be gracing screens come March 16 for which reservations begin from March 14.
It can be showcased in DTS screens within the state including leading multiplexes like Sathyam Cinemas, Shanthi Complex, Abirami Complex, AVM Rajeshwari and Bharath.
The mythological flick stars an array of tinsel town celebs including NT Rama Rao, Savitri and R Muthuraman. It throws light at the events within the lifetime of Karna, a personality from epic Mahabharatha.
Born to Kunti as a present from the Sun Lord with earrings and armour, Karnan is abandoned as a toddler. He fakes himself as a Brahmin and studies under Parasuram and earns his wrath because of the same. He's later taken in by Duryodhana for the epic battle of Kurukshetra. What happens when he involves know he's the elder brother of the Pandavas whom he's fighting forms the remainder of the plot of this visual extravaganza that's among the best classics in Tamil cinema.
The film can be available on DTS screens from March 16.
