Avan Ivan
Bala's first ever out and out commercial entertainer, 'Avan Ivan' opened to rave reviews from in all places. It stars Vishal, Arya, GM Kumar, Madhu Shalini and Janani Iyer within the lead roles with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film is set two half brothers who detest each other but come together to the avenge the death of a pricey one. Probably the most major highlights is Vishal's performance as a squint eyed person for that is the primary time ever an actor has sported a squint throughout a feature film.

Villain
The Telugu dub of 'Raavanan' a Tamil - Hindi bilingual is a visible treat for audience. The film sees Chiyaan Vikram within the lead and with shades of grey, while Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Prithviraj play the opposite leads. It was simultaneously released in Hindi as 'Raavan' with Abhishek Bachchan within the role reprised by Vikram. Like in Ramayana, the film throws light on Prithviraj's seek for his wife who have been kidnapped by tribal leader Veeraya, that may be to say, Vikram. The emotional changes the trio undergo and a novice climax forms the remainder of the plot of 'Villain'.
