It was on Saturday that the audio of 'Saguni' was launched at a grand function in Chennai. Within the next 24 hours, the 'Kanda Karavadai...' song was downloaded 75000 times, creating a record of varieties. And music composer G V Prakash Kumar is so thrilled about it. Sung by Shankar Mahadevan, the peppy number has some dialogues in between, which might be mouthed by none as opposed to Karthi Sivakumar, the protagonist of this political thriller loaded with humor. "That is actually great. 75,000 downloads overnight isn't a very easy thing," says Prakash, adding: "We released two singles from the movie on Karthi's birthday. They got 2.5 lakh downloads in seven days." This is the second one time Prakash has worked for a Karthi starrer, with the primary time being Selvaraghavan's 'Aayirathil Oruvan'. 'Saguni', directed by newcomer Shankar Dayal, has Pranitha because the leading lady. K E Gnanavelraja of Studio Green is the producer.
