For an established now there has been no big release in Tamil cinema way to a strike and now it seems like Ajith's 'Billa 2' and Karthi's 'Saguni' might clash within the box office.
It was earlier buzzed that 'Billa 2' will release on June 22 and 'Saguni', two weeks afterward July 6. Nevertheless it is now said that the makers of 'Saguni' try to release their film on June 22 besides! Studio Green who's producing the film has already started booking theatres for his or her movie.
'Saguni' could be censored today following which their promotion work will begin in an entire swing. 'Billa 2' may be censored early next week and then the work at the film's release will begin.
'Billa 2' is a prequel to blockbuster 'Billa' and has Ajith, Parvathy Omanakuttan and Bruna Abdullah within the lead roles. With music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the film by Chakri Toleti is red hot in trade. 'Saguni' starring Karthi, Pranitha and Santhanam is by newbie Shankar Dayal and has music by GV Prakash. The film could also be eagerly expected in Andhra Pradesh where Karthi enjoys an excellent fan base.
While 'Billa 2' is a gangster biggie where Thala Ajith becomes a feared don from an Eelam refugee, 'Saguni' is a political satire that has Karthi playing mind games. It seems like it will likely be one big clash within the box-office this June 22!
