TFPC says no to talks

The Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) on Sunday rejected a call for participation from the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI), to carry talks to seek out an amicable option to the continuing tussle within the industry.

Citing a court order that office-bearers of the Producers Council won't participate in any discussions till April 13, vice-president of TFPC T Siva said hence they may attend the joint meeting.

Meanwhile, the Producers Council has floated new workers' association and going ahead with the shootings of few movies, with police protection. Shootings of Karthi's 'Alex Pandian' and Karunas's 'Ragalaipuram' came about in Chennai.

According to R K Selvamani, the brand new union titled Tamil Nadu Film Employees Welfare Association isn't against workers. "IT IS JUST to verify employees get fair wages. All that we oppose is the blackmail attitude of few FEFSI office-bearers."
