'Sri Rama Rajyam', the Tamil version of Balakrishna-Nayanthara starring Telugu film of the similar title, won't hit the screens on April 13 as planned. Its release have been postponed to the last week of April.
According to Kiran, who's producing the Tamil version, the continued strike within the industry, because of a tussle between producers and workers over wages, has disrupted the dubbing works of the movie.
"Hence we have now decided to delay the discharge of Sri Rama Rajyam no less than by per week. The audio was launched a couple of days ago and songs by maestro Ilayaraja are well received. We're expecting an analogous reception to the film," he says.
Directed by ace Tollywood filmmaker Bapu, the film has Akkineni Nageswara Rao, K R Vijaya, Roja and others in lead roles. In response to the good epic Ramayana, 'Sri Rama Rajyam' was a success in Andhra Pradesh.
