It was earlier reported that Amala Paul might reprise the role she did in 'Vettai' within the Hindi remake to boot. But industry insiders now have it that pan Indian actress Ileana may well be approached for this role where she has to share screen space with Shahid Kapoor.
The yet-to-be-titled venture in Hindi could be produced by UTV Movies and can mark the foray of Lingusamy as a director in Bollywood. It's further said that the film will go on floors within the first week of May on the Ramoji Film City.
So who will reprise Maddy's role within the remake? Ali Zafar of 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan' fame may be seen on this role. He plays the elder brother of Shahid who's forced to become a police official.
Initially Madhavan was approached for this role by Lingu however the actor although thrilled with the offer politely refused as he takes rest way to a knee injury. In fact, he's on a six month break from films!
Joining the list of Tamil remakes in Hindi is that this flick that promises action, emotion and drama.
