Ilayathalapathy Vijay's action thriller, 'Thupaki' has now been confirmed as a Diwali release. Kalaipuli S Thanu says, "Padam kandippa Diwali release..." While the talkie portions has been wrapped three songs are remaining to be shot. Audio is touted to release after August 15. Starring Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal within the lead roles, the film by AR Murugadoss has music by Harris Jayaraj. Comic relief is by Sathyan and cinematography by ace Santosh Sivan. Vijay reportedly plays a cop on this action packed thriller that has few scenes shot in live locations in Mumbai using hidden cameras. Last year, Vijay's Velayudham saw an important opening and is one in all his biggest hits to this point. We'll need to wait to peer if Vijay's this year Diwali release, that is a whole contrast to Velayudham, considering his suave avatar in Thupaki, will surpass the sooner one's records or not.
