After delivering critically acclaimed films that surprisingly shocked the audience with different angles through 'Chandni Bar', 'Page 3' and 'Fashion', Bhandarkar is operating on 'Heroine', his pet project so one can take audience on a journey to peer what really goes on behind the arena of bling and glamour. Featuring Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal within the lead, 'Heroine' was initially alleged to roll with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan but she needed to opt out of it due to her pregnancy.
