UTV Films could be producing India's first high-octane dance film and in 3D! Aptly titled 'AnyBody Can Dance' (ABCD), the film can be helmed by choreographer - director Rema D' Souza and has Prabhu Deva and Ganesh Acharya in pivotal roles.
'ABCD' also stars winners of hit dance show, Dance India Dance. Lauren Gottlieb, the worldwide winner of the preferred television show, "SO THAT YOU Think You'll Dance", have been cast because the lead heroine.
Announcing the project, Siddharth Roy Kapur, CEO of UTV Films said, "Remo has proven to everyone that he's not just a sensational choreographer but additionally a director who knows the heartbeat of today's audience. He's your best choice to direct a movie according to dance, and with Prabhu Deva, Ganesh Acharya and other leading stars from India's dance fraternity within the cast, ABCD promises to be a complete paisa-vasool family entertainer."
Commented Remo D' Souza, "IT'S like a dream coming true for me. I had always nurtured the concept of constructing a movie on my passion - dancing. ABCD is a culmination of multiple dreams actually for I AM GETTING to make a dance film and get the only and only Prabhu Deva to bop and act in it!"
Prabhu Deva says, "I WILL BE ABLE TO feel such a lot energy at the sets of ABCD. I THINK like a teen and it's great to be dancing again. In fact, I THINK more like a dancer working within the film than an actor."
ABCD will grace the screens by the tip of 2012.
