Director Lingusamy has requested the federal government to offer tax exemption to his production venture 'Vazhakku Enn 18 / 9', which has won huge appreciation from the media, critics, industry people and audience.
"Tax exemption has not been given to Vazhakku Enn 18 / 9 for the reason that film have been cleared by the Censor Board with U/A certificate. This is a excellent movie and everybody is appreciating it. Hence I request the federal government to offer tax relief," he said.
Recalling his friendship with director Balaji Shakthivel, Lingusamy said, "I DO KNOW him for greater than 18 years. After I came to Chennai with cinema dreams, Balaji Shakthivel was the primary person whom I met. It was he who introduced world cinema to me."
He added: "As a producer, Vazhakku Enn 18/9 has given me immense satisfaction. I thank everyone related to the film for his or her contribution. I'M planning to provide more such meaningful movies within the future."
