Endemol India Pvt Ltd, a Hindi serial production house has joined hands with a Kollywood banner, Nemichand Jhabhak Productions for the maiden venture in Tamil. They've managed to bag the Tamil - Telugu remake rights of the film amidst much competition. Talks are on with three topnotch directors of Tamil cinema and two heroines was approached by the production house. A PROPER announcement can be made once the director and the heroine is finalized upon. Starring Vidya Balan, 'Kahaani' by Sujoy Ghosh sees Vidya as a pregnant woman on the lookout for her missing husband in Kolkata through the Durga festivities. The film that boasts off interesting twists till the very end received critical acclaim from everywhere and crossed the 100 crore mark within the BO! While the remake rights are owned by Endemol, Nemichand Jhabhak Productions is the investment partner. Nemichand Jhabhak Productions has earlier delivered hits in Tamil including 'Naan Avan Illai' and 'Anjathe'.
