If industry insiders are to be believed, Mani Ratnam's cult blockbuster 'Agni Natchathiram' could be remade in Tamil and Telugu by producer T Ramesh. "Agni Natchathiram is a cult classic and i am thoroughly thrilled to remake it as a bilingual in Tamil - Telugu. I'm in talks with the large stars of Tamil and Telugu film industries for this remake and that i can assure that it's going to be a large project with a large star from both the industries within the lead", says T Ramesh. T Ramesh is the producer of Vishal - Trisha starrer 'Samar'. A press release listing the forged and crew of the film is anticipated from him shortly. Buzz is that a couple of supporting actors from the unique may well be retained within the remake as well. The film is set two half brothers, played by Prabhu and Karthik within the original. It was dubbed in Telugu back then and was also remade in Hindi. It is going to be interesting to look at who could be cast because the brothers within the remake.
