'Saguni' featuring Karthi and Pranitha is helmed by debutant Shankar Dayal. The makers have officially announced that this political satire will hit the screens on April 14, as a Tamil New Year special.
Music for 'Saguni' is by GV Prakash Kumar and the audio disc can be unveiled in March, followed by the film's release in April. 'Manasellam Mazhai...', a romantic track featuring the lead was recently canned in Poland. 'Vezhai Pambaram...' penned by Viveka is another highlight of the music album. There's also a track crooned by Shankar Mahadevan. 'Busy City With Busy Citizens...' is yet one more song from this album.
The comic sequences between Karthi and Santhanam forms the film's highlight.
"Saguni is someone who appears to be bad but he's actually good at heart, by the point you understand he's a pleasant person he'll make a fool out of you. Karthi comes from a village to Chennai and gets caught amidst politics, how the politics change him and the way he modifies the lives of these around form the plot of this political satire", say sources within the know.
Nassar, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Radhika, Roja and Mumtaz may be seen in pivotal roles.
