Directed by Andrew Vasanth Louis, a former assistant to S.J. Suryah, Leelai is a breezy rom-com and have been made in a glossy manner.
Model-turned-actor Shiv Pandit, in an earlier interview to this newspaper had said that a chance watch of 1 of his famous mobile ad campaigns by Andrew landed him this plum offer.

The movie was mostly shot within the HCL office after taking special permission. While Satish Chakravarthy, who had his tutelage under A.R. Rahman composes the music, ace lens man Velraj is behind the camera.
