Director Vasantha Balan's biggie, 'Aravaan', a period film featuring Aadhi, Pasupathy, Dhansika and Archana Kavi will grace the screens on March 2. Although the film was slated for a February 24 release, it's been pushed to March 2, because the makers feel it's going to fetch 'Aravaan' a larger opening as there aren't any big films releasing that weekend.
'Aravaan' has Bharath and Vasantha Balan's lucky mascot Anjali appearing as a pair in a cameo and has music by playback singer Karthik who's tuning music in Tamil cinema with this film.
The film is predicated on a chapter from Su Venkatesan's award winning novel 'Kaval Kottam' that throws light at the history of Madurai. The film was canned in remote areas in TN.
Make way for yet one more entertainer that promises novelty as 'Aravaan' releases big come March 2.
