Prakash Raj to direct Aamir Khan?

After establishing his acting prowess in Bollywood, seems like it's now time for Prakash Raj to turn his mettle as a director. If sources are to be believed, he's going to direct the Hindi remake of 'Abhiyum Naanum'.

And the highlight is that the lead role of a doting father (which was played by Prakash Raj within the Tamil version) can be enacted by Aamir Khan, who's said to be so being a part of the project.

"Aamir Khan was thoroughly impressed after watching Abhiyum Naanum recently. He's waiting for kick start the Hindi version, in an effort to be produced by Boney Kapoor," sources say.

Close at the heels of the success of 'The Dirty Picture', Silk Smitha's life has become a favorite subject for some filmmakers.

While it's being claimed that the Tamil and Telugu versions of 'The Dirty Picture' are being planned, a Malayalam film at the yesteryear actress is prepared to get a kick start.

Titled 'Profile', the biopic of the yesteryear actress is penned by Antony Eastman, who introduced Silk to the Malayalam film industry. And Sana Khan was roped in to play the lead role.

The makers of 'Profile' say the script has no reference to 'The Dirty Picture'. The film could be helmed by Anil. "Unlike TDP, that is the unique version of Silk's life, since Antony Eastman was the one that launched the actress in Mollywood," says the director.

Explaining the meaning of the title, he said, "THIS IS A quite common word utilized in the villages of Thanjavur district, that is my native. Sottavazhakutty means a smart, handsome and intelligent young man."

Stating that Dhanush was a great deal pleased with the script and the title, Sargunam adds, "Dhanush will fit really well into the role. In fact, the protagonist roles in Kalavani and Vaagai Sooda Vaa too were tailor made for him. But we weren't in a position to join hands then."

He said 'Sottavazhakutty' might be a mixture of comedy and romance. "WE'RE currently finalizing remainder of the members of the forged and crew. The shooting will start very soon," concludes Sargunam.

Iniya appears to be the favorite selection of directors who want to make movies in rural backdrop. After Sargunam's 'Vaagai Sooda Vaa' and Bharathiraja's 'Annakodiyum Kodi Veeranum', the actress has bagged another film set within the village milieu. Titled 'Ammavin Kaipesi', the film will mark the comeback of popular director Thangar Bachchan, who's known for emotional rural flicks reminiscent of 'Azhagi', 'Solla Marandha Kadhai' and 'Pallikoodam'. 'Ammavin Kaipesi', which revolves across the bondage between a mother and her son, could have Shanthanu Bhagyaraj because the protagonist. Interestingly, that is first time for the young actor to play a village youth. Says Iniya, "I'VE an excessively meaty role to play in Ammavin Kaipesi.
