Dhanushs secret visits for Raanjhana

The perfectionist in National Award winning actor Dhanush needs no talking about. Buzz is that the actor have been visiting the holy city of Varanasi in disguise several times to get into the outside of the nature he plays.

In order to get in to character of the Hindi Brahmin he plays and get his accent right, Dhanush have been visiting where in disguise several times.

The film sees him as an effortless Brahmin boy with fashionista Sonam Kapoor as his lady love. Recently, the director gifted him a number of Raj Kapoor DVDs to assist him understand the nature within the film.

Directed by Aanand L Rai, the film has music by AR Rahman and marks Dhanush's foray in Bollywood cinema. Down south, he has 'Mariyaan' with Bharat Bala and 'Mareesan' with Chimbu Devan aside from a movie with Vetrimaaran.


Shruti Haasan opposite Junior NTR?

It seems like Lady Luck is favoring Shruti Haasan in Telugu cinema this season. The actress, who until recently, was criticized for a sequence of flops in Telugu but things changed for good post the success of 'Gabbar Singh' (Osthe / Dabaangg remake) with Pawan Kalyan.

Buzz is that, she's going to be teaming up with the film's director, Harish Shankar, for yet one more project, this time opposite Junior NTR, one of the crucial first-class actors in Tollywood!

Although the makers are yet to make sure this it's said that the role is tailor-made for her and she's being considered seriously.

Shruti was last seen in '3' in Tamil and is yet to sign up the dotted lines of another Tamil flick.


Gautham Menon – Suriya to team up for third time

It's official! Industry insiders have it that Gautham Menon and Suriya could be teaming up for the third time shortly.

Ever since this was announced rumor mills are working overtime that that is the project Gautham had in mind for Ajith, 'Thuppariyum Anand', however since Gautham is already doing a spy thriller with Vijay we cannot ensure that if he'll do a detective story in his very next.

Gautham reportedly confirmed this development with a media house, "Yes we can be working together, an official announcement could be made shortly". Names of Bollywood beauties like Deepika Padukone are already doing the rounds.

The film will go on floors post the completion of 'Yohan: Adhyayam Ondru'. Suriya - Gautham have earlier delivered two blockbusters - 'Kaakha Kaakha' (2003) and 'Vaaranam Aayiram' (2008).


Vikrams Thaandavam meet the clicking at London

UTV Motion Pictures' 'Thaandavam' has wrapped a 65 day long schedule in London and met the click on the Rafayel Hotel in London. Addressing the clicking were Vikram, AL Vijay, Lakshmi Rai, Amy Jackson and G Dhananjayan.

The film written and directed by Vijay of 'Madrasapattinam' and 'Deiva Thirumagal' fame stars 'Chiyaan' Vikram, Anushka Shetty, Jagapathi Babu, Amy Jackson, Lakshmi Rai, Nasser, Santhanam amongst others.

The film crew started its shooting in and around London within the first week of April, and shot some breathtaking scenes in various locations in UK.

"We are very excited the best way the film has turned out to this point. We braved the London weather and uninterrupted rain to finish the shoot on time and now we're ready to complete the rest scenes in India with all of the cast " says G. Dhananjayan.

The post production of the film will begin once the unit returns to India and the music launch is scheduled for August. The film is slated to hit theatres worldwide in September.


Rajiv Menon to do a biopic on MS Subbulakshmi

Rajiv Menon, the ace cinematographer turned filmmaker, is currently wielding the camera for Mani Ratnam's 'Kadal', besides the much awaited 'Kochadaiyaan', which has Superstar Rajinikanth within the lead role.

After completing these two prestigious projects, Rajiv, it's learnt, will start a bio-pic on Carnatic music legend M S Subbulakshmi. "Pre-production work has already started. The shooting will start in July," say sources.

Rajiv Menon, who earlier directed movies akin to 'Minsara Kanavu' and 'Kandukonden Kandukonden', has done numerous research for this project on MS. "His film might be a fitting tribute to the musical legend," add sources.

Subbulakshmi, who was fondly called as 'MS Amma' by her admirers from around the world, earned global approval for her sublime voice and mellifluous rendition of classical songs. She added value to many reputed awards.

Trisha, the booster behind boxer

'There is a lady behind every successful man'. This popular adage could be reminded to the audience after they watch 'Boologam', the forthcoming film of 'Jayam' Ravi, which has Trisha opposite him.

While Ravi plays a boxer on this movie, Trisha plays his love interest, who's the very big motivator of Ravi. "She is an overly supportive lover, who's a pillar of strength to Ravi," sources say.

They add: "SHE IS GOING TO motivate Ravi whenever he's down and she or he is the principle reason for the boxer emerging victorious. Though Boologam is an action story, the affection scenes between Ravi and Trisha may be interesting."

'Boologam' has brought together the pair after the super hit 'Unakkum Enakkum'. The movie is being produced by V Ravichandran of Aascar Films.

No love, no break-up : Vijay

Director Vijay laughs at reports that he and his 'Deiva Thirumagal' actress Amala Paul, who were supposedly in a relationship, have broken up. It was widely buzzed that the duo has parted ways amicably since they were busy with their commitments.

"Break-ups can happen provided that two adults see one another. How can there be a break-up when nothing is there between me and Amala Paul? She is my friend and we're still involved. But there may be nothing personal between us," he says.

Dubbing the reports as utter rubbish, Vijay says, "I PONDER the explanation behind publishing such baseless reports without verifying the facts. I'M busy with my films and i've no time for other things."

Vijay, who's popular for 'Kireedam', 'Poi Solla Porom', 'Madrasapattinam' and 'Deiva Thirumagal', is currently directing Vikram for 'Thaandavam'. On completing the film, he'll start a film with Vijay.


Venkat Prabhu: Its a lady!

Director Venkat Prabhu is on cloud nine and why wouldn't he be. The hit filmmaker was blessed with a child girl for the second one time. "I am a dad again! It is a girl again! Two lovely angels! I'M blessed! The mummy is fine, thanks for the prayers, God bless", he wrote on his microblogging page. Venkat Prabhu and wife Rajalakshmi are super eager about their family's new entrant. On a qualified front things are beaming bright for the director post the stupendous success of 'Mankatha'. Sonas Sirippin Azhugai- A biopic on her!

Known for doing something out of the box, Sona is at it again. The actress turned producer, who owns a boutique, is planning a biopic with a view to narrate her experience within the industry. The movie have been titled 'Sirippin Azhugai'.

"It started with a sequence on my life which I wrote in a Tamil bi-weekly. I'M now planning to make it as a film. I'M sure the movie will shock many film personalities," says the outspoken Sona.

Besides producing the movie, Sona will play the lead role besides. Also, she is searching for an actress with close resemblance to her, to portray different stages of her life.

"I has been receiving threats ever since I planned to do that film. But I'M REALLY NOT bothered about it," Sona says, adding: "THERE'S A special song on this movie during which many leading actors might be part of."

Settai: 40% over!

In just 20 days, director Kannan has completed shooting 40 per cent of his upcoming film 'Settai', that is a remake of Hindi hit 'Delhi Belly'. The Tamil version has Arya, Hansika Motwani, Anjali and Santhanam in lead roles.

"I must thank my producers UTV Motion Pictures, Arya and other members of the forged and crew. Only because of their interest and co-operation, I'M ABLE TO achieve this," says the director of 'Jayamkondan' and 'Kanden Kadhalai'.

Kannan says the project became possible only as a result of Santhanam, an inevitable a part of all his films, including his last venture 'Vandhaan Vendraan'. "He was mainly responsible in putting things in place," says the filmmaker.

On Arya, he says, "Arya would never visit the caravan after completing his shot. He would sit with us and discuss at the next scene. Similarly, the co-operation from Hansika and Anjali too is memorable."
