Parineeti, Ileana or Samantha for Karthi?

Everything a couple of Venkat Prabhu directorial is news. And the newest buzz about his forthcoming with Karthi Sivakumar, 'Biriyani', is set the film's lead lady.

While it was earlier reported that Tamil - Telugu cinema's latest sensation Samantha is being considered for the role, a bit birdie has that Parineeti Chopra or Ileana may well be approached for the feminine lead.

Parineeti Chopra, Priyanka Chopra's cousin, has become the following big thing in Bollywood cinema following the success of 'Ishaqzaade'. However it is usually said that Parineeti has a movie take care of a Mumbai banner and won't be capable of work outside it for a while.

We need to wait to look who will share screen space with Karthi on this biggie.

Ajith goes behind the camera in Billa 2

That Ajith loves photography and will never resist a possibility to move behind the camera is an open secret. In the course of the shooting of 'Billa 2' in Goa, Ajith couldn't resist one such chance during an action sequence and went behind the camera to take a look at his hand at it. R.D. Rajasekar, the director of photography for 'Billa 2', was more than pleased to lead Thala throughout the shot.

While the Thala has gone behind the camera, the director, Chakri Toleti, choreographed over 300 extras for a very important sequence within the film during one in all its schedules in Goa.

This was a bunch of mostly Russian and German extras who as a result of loss of fluency in Indian Languages, needed to actually be explained their part by nearly enacting them. Shooting with these extras was for over two days and the director took it upon himself to enact nearly all their shots before them.

The shoot we hear involved a large number of fire blowing stunts by professional performers and what also came out was Thala Ajith's concern even for the junior most artists. Thala took it upon himself to test personally all fire safety apparatus and measures that were in place for the shoot.

The film is slated for a release on June 22

Karthika & Reemma opt out of SAC flick?

With Vikram Prabhu opting out of SA Chandrasekhar's flick it's said that the film's lead ladies, Karthika Nair and Reemma Sen might walk out of the project as well. The film is a remake of 'Sattam Oru Iruttarai', a 1981 cult classic that featured Captain Vijaykanth. Vikram Prabhu recently opted out of the project citing date issues as he's currently engaged on Prabhu Solomon's 'Kumki'. He expressed the problem to the makers and asked them to either look ahead to him to wrap the shoot or go ahead with another actor. Buzz is that SAC is in search of a newbie for the lead. Following these events, it's said that Karthika isn't too happy about being a part of the project anymore and has opted out of it and reportedly, Reemma Sen, who already shot few scenes isn't too pleased with these happenings as well.

Mayakkam Enna nominated for SIIMA Awards

Celebrity couple, Selvaraghavan and Gitanjali are elated for his or her production venture 'Mayakkam Enna' remains to be gaining appreciation from all over.  The film has now been nominated for the SIIMA Awards in order to be held in Dubai on June 21 and 22.

South Indian International Movie Awards is a brand new award ceremony to be held once a year from now.  The Awards has been instituted with the aim of advertising to the arena the greatness of the South Indian film industry, which comprises of Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam industries.

A jury comprising of unbiased and experienced panel members from all of the industries was constituted to make a choice five films for nomination from each industry to be presented the most productive Film award.  Shyam Prasad Reddy, Khushboo, Malathi Rangarajan, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, TS Nagabharana, K Manju, Siddique are one of the jury members.

Selvaraghavan's next, 'Irandam Ulagam' has completed two schedules and the third schedule will go on floors in Georgia where a continual 72 day shoot is planned. This romantic drama featuring Arya and Anushka can also be rightfully called as Selva's pet project and is likely one of the biggest films this year in both Tamil and Telugu.

Gayam director to start out a cafe

'Gayam' aka 'Vengayam's director Sankagiri Rajkumar has thanked the click and audience for the response to their film for today (June 6) is 'Gayam's 75th day. "ALTHOUGH our film is replaced by new ones in metros it's still running in villages and C centers", says the elated director. Sankagiri, who struggled in his initial days in Chennai with no proper meal is now planning to begin a cafe in Chennai. "To thank back director Cheran and others within the film industry I'M starting a restaurant in Vadapalani where good meals can be offered on the price of a coffee", he says. "I starved and suffered initially. Whenever my dad sent money I spent that on watching movies and reading and lived on tea and biscuits, I DO NOT want other newbies to suffer like me", he further adds. 'Gayam' takes a dig on superstitions in our society and is a critically acclaimed film.

Samantha opposite Karthi?

This is the newest buzz in tinsel town. Rumor mills are working overtime suggesting that Samantha who's red hot in Tamil - Telugu cinema was approached to share screen space with Karthi in Venkat Prabhu's next.

 'Biriyani', a romantic comedy might be produced by Gnanavel Raja's Studio Green. The film will go on floors come August and can bear the tagline, 'A Venkat Prabhu Diet'. It is going to have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematography by Sakthi Saravanan, stunt choreography by Silva and editing by Praveen KL. Buzz is that Premgi Amaren might be seen as Karthi's best pal on this film. Once the heroine is finalized the makers will make an official announcement about 'Biriyani's cast and crew.
