Vijay completes TWENTY YEARS in Kollywood

Illayathalapathy Vijay is completing TWENTY YEARS as of today in Kollywood. The actor has completed 54 films on this time and has delivered several hits periodically within the Tamil industry. The actor has just completed his success run with Thuppakki after delivering another hit within the type of Nanban early this January.

Many of Vijay's films have went directly to become hits. The long list of flicks include Poove Unakkaga, Love Today, Kadhalukku Mariyadhai, Priyamudan, Thulladha Manamum Thullum, Kushi, Priyamaanavale, Friends, Ghilli, Thirupaachi, Sivakasi, Pokkiri, Kaavalan, Velayudham, Nanban and Thuppakki. After the setting the stage on fire several times over the years, you could have a look at Vijay's career and be impressed by his statistics of manufacturing hits. Despite several names appearing off and on Kollywood, the actor has managed to stick on target along with his films and continually hold on his own together with his growing selection of fans.

Starting tomorrow, Vijay will begin his 21st year in Tamil cinema, and his next project is opposite Amala Paul with Director A.L.Vijay. Let's be patient what number of more milestones this guy can touch during his career.

Nayanthara does a photoshoot with Udhayanidhi Stalin

Actress Nayanthara was reportedly excited by a photograph shoot with Udhayanidhi Stalin recently. The development was conducted by the watchful Venkat Ram, who shot pictures of the pair together prior to their film together.

It was earlier reported that Nayanthara can be teaming up with Udhay in his next film. The project is to be handled by Sundarapandian fame Prabhakaran and the shooting schedule will begin this January. The actress was initially called as much as feature in OKOK, Udhay's debut film, but declined the role as she was taking a break. Now that she is back in K-Town, the actress has put pen to paper for the project. The photo shoot comes as a sign that work will indeed begin soon at the film. We will be able to soon get to look the primary look of the film featuring the lead pair!

ARR concert to add 10 new faces

One of the talking points of this season have been A.R.Rahman's concert in Chennai at the 29th of December. The concert titled "Thai Manne Vanakkam" is being organized on the Nehru Indoor Stadium and can be telecasted by an incredible television channel. As part of the program, the organizers are planning to conduct a talent hunt and select five winners to accomplish in the course of the show with ARR himself.

"We've got conducted auditions in Trichy, Coimbatore and Madurai. We have short listed 40 contestants to this point. Ten singers can be given a possibility to rock the stage with the maestro. The contestants are below 15 years of age. It is going to be a golden opportunity for the youngsters to accomplish with the legendary musician" said Boophthy, who may be hosting the live event.

This may well be an ideal chance for young and talented singers to showcase their skills and get picked by ARR for his concert. With any luck, they may just become the following Karthik or Naresh Iyer.

Karthi sings for Venkat Prabhu in Biriyani

Actor Karthi who could be featuring in Venkat Prabhu's next film, Biriyani, is probably going to do greater than just acting for the film. The actor was recently at Yuvan Shankar Raja's studio to join a composition and Venkat Prabhu has confirmed that he's going to indeed be singing a song. Karthi and Premji Amaren may be doing the song together, in what's going to be Yuvan's 100th film soundtrack.

"Karthi is a fab singer! We always jam up isaignani songs within the sets! Karthi and Premgi did a great job! Super threesome track" posted Venkat Prabhu happily on Twitter. He was soon joined by Premgi, who said "Karthi and me singing the longer term super duper ultimate mega hit song in BIRIYANI !".

It is to be noted that Karthi has previously featured in a song in Paruthi Veeran. This time around, we will be able to be seeing him having much more lines. Seems like he'll be joining the likes of Vikram, Vijay, Simbu, Kamal and other leading actors who've lent their voices for songs of their films.

Vijays next to be called Thanga Magan?

Illayathalapathy Vijay, after the success of Thuppakki have been busy engaged on his next project with Director A.L.Vijay. The project which was untitled beforehand has finally gotten a tentative title in line with reports, so as to be "Thanga Magan".

Vijay can be sharing the screen with Amala Paul and Santhanam within the film that's currently being shot in Mumbai. Cinematographer Nirav Shah have been roped in to address the camera another time while G.V.Prakash Kumar may be composing the music. Reports have already confirmed that the actor might be singing a song within the soundtrack after his success with the mic in Thuppakki's Google Google. Vikram Prabhu goes face to face with Vamsi Krishna

Vikram Prabhu has good reason to be excited this week as his debut film is about for release and can be hitting the screens at the 14th of December. However the actor may be busy engaged on his next film Ivan Ippadithan.

Reports have now confirmed that he'll be taking up a Tollywood villain within the project within the type of Vamsi Krishna. The versatile actor will prove as a worthy adversary for Vikram Prabhu in line with sources. The film is being directed by Saravanan and is produced by Lingusamy's Thiruppathi Brothers. We will be able to expect to listen to more from the team soon.

Ajith-Tamannah film gets a pooja

Earlier this week, it was confirmed that Ajith's next project with Siruthai Shiva may have Tamannah within the lead. The actress is coming round again to Kollywood after she was recently busy together with her projects in other industries. Now, the project was kicked off successful with a pooja.

The event was attended by Shiva himself and in addition had composer Devi Sri Prasad who might be engaged on the film. "With Director Shiva on the pooja of Thala Ajith's new film in my studio..!! Loved the narration of Mr.Shiva's story.!!" posted DSP on Twitter confirming the happenings. The movie is anticipated to be an all out Masala entertainer and can have Santhanam handling the comedy track. just as he did in Siruthai. Sundeep makes a move to Kollywood

Actor Sundeep who has previously been related to Director Gautham Menon will soon be creating a move to Kollywood within the film 'Yaaruda Mahesh'. The actor is eager on creating a good impression along with his efforts.

Rajeev Pillai praises Illayathalapathy Vijay

The hot- hot hunk Rajeev Pillai who appeared in Malayalam films earlier might be making his Tamil debut with A.L.Vijay's next project and can be Illayathalapathy Vijay's villain. The actor has took the chance quickly and spoken in praise of his co-star who's on a roll after the massive success of Thuppakki.

Reports have Raghava Larencce may be teaming up with Taapsee Pannu next within the third version of Muni. The actor-director-dancer has already produced two blockbusters with the former films and can be carrying the logo forward. It has also been confirmed that a script is set for the film and that the shooting will commence shortly.

Tollywood producer Bellamkonda Suresh might be making the film under his banner. He'll be pinning his hopes at the movie, after delivering successive loses in his last two films Shakuni and Brothers. He's confidential that Raghava Lawrence would be the right man for the job. "WE'RE sure that Lawrence goes to deliver another blockbuster. The shooting would commence from December," said the producer.

After the thrilling effects of Muni and Kanchana, we will expect another interesting prospect in Muni 3. After all, Raghava Larencce does appear to have the fitting success formula.

Vijay to spend another 40 days in Mumbai

Illayathalapathy Vijay was seen within the streets of Mumbai in his film Thuppaki. The actor supposedly spent a big a part of the film's schedule in Mumbai along side Director A.R.Murugadoss. Now that the film have been declared a hit, the actor has got to work on Director A.L.Vijay's next untitled project opposite Amala Paul. Now, sources have confirmed that the team will indeed be visiting Mumbai for the shoot.

Vijay might be spending 40 days straight in Mumbai hoping to finish a big part of the film quickly and in an easy manner. Director Vijay's usual crew has been roped in for the film, including cinematographer Nirav Shah and music director G.V.Prakash Kumar. Looks as if Vijay has grown keen on the town already having spent a significant portion of the year at Mumbai. We're yet to look if his next could be shaping up like Thuppaki. Only time will tell if it does.

MPMK – Vasanth back with Yuvan for a musical treat

After creating a thrilling impression with 'Satham Podathey' in 2007, director Vasanth is back with a bang with a romantic musical this time.

Starring Arjun, Cheran, Vimal, Muktha Bhanu and debutant Surveen Chawla, 'Moondru Per Moondru Kaadhal' (MPMK) currently is claimed to be at the last lap of its shooting and and then the post production work will commence.

In this Vasanth joins hands with composer Yuvan Shankar Raja post their association in 1999 for "Poovellam Kettuppar" - a movie which gave Yuvan his first musical hit. Promising to be refreshing and feel-good film, MPMK carries Vasanth's trademark of mixing impressive storyline with soothing music. The audio launch is scheduled to be hung on 1st December at Park Sheraton Hotel, Chennai.

Vishwaroopam audio launch on December 7th

After months of speculation, Kamal Hassan's Vishwaroopam will finally see an audio launch at the 7th of December. The film, that's set to release during Pongal has music by the trio of Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy and was long within the coming following rumours for several months. Last week, the track list of the soundtrack was released to the web to present fans an idea about what's waiting throughout the cassettes and CDs.

As planned before, the audio launch event will indeed happen across three cities. All the crew will initially be present on the Velammal College Grounds in Madurai, and can then move to Hindustan College in Coimbatore before finally having a gala event in Chennai. It's to be noted that this plan was originally meant for the 7th of November, Kamal Hassan's birthday but was then cancelled because of Cyclone Nilam.

But this time around, things appear to be confirmed for the date and we will be able to finally get our hands at the soundtrack  and end the impeding speculation.

Kumki from Dec 14th

Studio Green, which has officially confirmed that the much awaited 'Kumki' will hit the screens on December 14, is keenly practicing meeting the deadline.

The film directed by Prabhu Solomon, which marks the acting debut of thespian Sivaji Ganesan's grandson Vikram Prabhu, will undergo censor formalities within the coming week.

Once the movie is censored, Studio Green will start aggressive promotion and distribution activities.

The movie produced by Lingusamy's Tirupathi Brothers has Lakshmi Menon of 'Sundarapandian' fame because the leading lady. Music is by D Imman.

Prabhu Deva directed Rowdy Rathore is getting bigger by the day. The newest news is that Tamil superstar  Ilayathalapathy Vijay has agreed to shake a leg with Akshay Kumar in a song for the film!

An ecstatic Prabhu Deva said: “I met him recently and casually requested him to do a song with Akshay in Rowdy Rathore.  He checked out me and didn’t even blink before saying “Yes”. It was really expert gesture from this type of huge star like him to oblige and do that for me, and that too in a Hindi film”.Remember that Kareena Kapoor has also done a song within the film without taking any money.Rowdy Rathore is one in all summer 2012’s biggies and is scheduled to release on June 1.

Added Prabhu Deva: “Vijay is understood for his dancing skills and it might be a treat to look him dance with Akshay who's also an even dancer.  Currently Vijay is shooting for AR Murugadoss directed Thupakki in Mumbai and we plan to shoot for the song this week”.Rowdy Rathore,is said to be a whole entertainer with comedy, action and drama. It's produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and UTV Movies with music by Sajid-Wajid.  The film carries a large buzz around it and is anticipated to take a gargantuan opening.

UTV Movies Sundar C directed Kalakalappu has suddenly become the freshest film within the trade.First the comedy wave has gripped Kollywood this year and Santhanam is an overly big star with an opening.

Kalakalappu could also be the 25th film of Sundar C as a director. He have been there for just about a decade and more and has got a tight track record of hits. Sundar films have a minimum guarantee audieces as they're mass masala comedy based entertainers.Now what's exciting the trade is Sundar C’s combination with Santhanam for the primary time. Remember Sundar C combo with Vadivelu and Vivek has worked big time within the past.

Vettai and Nanban Pongal Release

Vettai, the multi-starrer with Arya, Madhavan, Sameera Reddy and Amala Paul within the lead produced by Thirrupathi Brothers and UTV Movies have been confirmed as a Pongal 2012 release. This Lingusamy directed mass family entertainer promises to be an ideal festival release with all commercial elements.

UTV who're past masters in promoting their films to the hilt is starting their publicity campaign two weeks before release from January 1. The songs tuned by Yuvan Shankar Raja are already successful. Vettai can be releasing big in nearly 500 to 600 screens worldwide. After the grand audio launch, the film has turned hot among distributors, and plenty of areas including overseas was sold out at high prcises.

The trade has confirmed that Shankar’s Vijay multi-starrer Nanban and Lingusamy’s Vettai  featuring Madhavan and Arya will release on January 14, Pongal day. Earlier UTV Movies were planning to release Vettai on January 12, two days before Nanban to get the early bird advantage. However trade bigwigs shot down the idea, as they felt it will likely be “Pongal previous”.

There is a belief that if a movie releases sooner than the festival day, it's going to not open well, as individuals are busy preparing and purchasing for the festivities. So Vettai got pushed by two days from January 12 to 14, and can now tackle Nanban.

Surya’s Singam 2 will start in June

Suriya is again going to play the daredevil cop Dorai Singam in Singam 2, Hari directed sequel to his popular Singam(2010).

It goes to be Suriya’s first sequel and the fourth time he's pairing up with director Hari.The shoot of Singam 2 will start in June once Suriya completes his KV Anand starrer Matraan.

There are two heroines in Singam 2, Anushka and Hansika at the side of Vivekh, Vijayakumar, Radha Ravi, Nassar who were a part of the original.In addition Rahman will play the most important role within the film in conjunction with a couple of others. It  may have music by Devi Sri Prasad and camera by Priyan. The film can be shot in Chennai, Hyderabad,Thuthukudi, Tirunelveli, Karaikudi and songs and fight scenes in Kenya and South Africa.

Singam 2 goes to be a much bigger action packed police story with the correct quantity of emotions. It is going to be produced by Laxman C for Prince Pictures.

‘Maatran’ Movie Distribute to theatricals

Its official! Suriya’s KV Anand directed Maatran produced by AGS Entertainment’s has sold the Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka theatrical rights to Eros International Media Ltd (Eros Entertainment).

Eros have been assigned the Tamil theatrical rights for Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka and the Tamil audio rights of the movie. A press statement have been issued by Eros.Commenting at the acquisition, Sunil Lulla, Managing Director, Eros International Media Ltd said, “With Maatraan, Eros continues to explore and establish its presence within the regional film markets.

The film promises to be one in all its kind action thrillers and we're happy to go together with AGS Entertainment Private Limited to release this much awaited film with the hugely popular Suriya”.Kalpathi S. Aghoram, Director, AGS Entertainment the producers of the film added, “There exists an enormous potential for AGS Entertainment and Eros International to synergize given our experience in Tamil film production and their global presence with content spread across most leading Indian languages”.

Maatran has Suriya, Kajal Aggarwal within the lead and is directed by KV Anand with music by Harris Jayaraj. It's one of the crucial biggest movies of 2012.  Maatran is slated for release on 15th August 2012.

TV Actor Vijay Adiraj Direct a brand new Film

The TV actor and anchor, Vijay Adiraj, turned director fulfilling a fourteen year old dream together with his first film,titled  Puthagam, today.

The film stars Rakul Preet Singh , a former Ms India People’s Choice 2011, Sathya, the brother of actor Arya, Vignesh, the KSY actor who plays friend to Siddharth and Sanjay Krishna, the son of actor and director Santhanabharathy.A grand puja was held at a number one city hotel and the film went straight at the floors on the hotel premises itself.

The movie is a rom com and thriller and Laxman Kumar, the DOP of Vennila Kabaddi Kuzhu fame is handling the camera.This is James Vasanthan’s next film for which he has already composed one song.

Uma Padmanabhan plays crucial role because the heroine’s mother on this film produced by Ram Pictures Pvt Ltd. Paintings is by GK and costumes by Priya Manikandan.

Jackie Shroff Villan to RajiniKanth

It is confirmed that Jackie Shroff will play the primary villain in Rajinikanth’s Soundarya Rajinikanth directed Kochadaiyaan.

The major confrontation scenes between Rajinikanth the hero and Jackie Shroff have been shot in Pinewood studios in London.

Jackie says it was a pleasure working with Rajinikanth, “the complete professional”.  Within the film his name is Raja a personality with negative shades.The actor is reluctant to speak further about Kochadaiyaan.

Meanwhile Jackie Shroff sizzled in Tamil Aranya kandam, where he played the role of an aging north Madras don whose powers are fading.It got him so much ofcritical acclaim. Jackie is now doing more south language movies in Telugu and Malayalam.

Sasikumar Starts New Movie Sundarapandian

Sasikumar excited about extending his ‘action hero’ im age has launched a brand new film Sundarapandian. He'll again play an action hero within the film to be directed by his former associate Prabhu.

Lakshmi Menon, who's being introduced by Prabhu Solomon as Vikram Prabhu’s heroine in Kumki, will play the feminine lead. The others within the cast are  Vijay Sethupathi and Suri. Debutant  Raghunandan will provide music.The shoot of the film has started in Theni, with a view to be followed by the second one schedule in Karaikudi.

Sundarapandian which has a catchy title is being produced by Sasikumar’s Company Productions.
